Colleen Buhrer is a program associate at the RFK Memorial Center for Human Rights. In this capacity she oversees the annual Human Rights Award nomination and selection process as well as the Human Rights Award Ceremony each November. Ms. Buhrer also oversees the internship program and assists the RFK Center staff with numerous day-to-day activities.
Ms. Buhrer has a background in international relations through her work with non-profits in Washington, DC and the Institute for Strategic and International Studies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In addition, Ms. Buhrer has experience writing and editing for small newspapers in Colorado.
Ms. Buhrer holds an M.A. in International Relations from the American University School of International Service and a dual B.A. in Political Science and Technical Journalism from Colorado State University.
