Founder of the National Youth Alliance, Kim Keun Tae was jailed and tortured for advocating democracy in South Korea. In exposing her husband's torture, In Jae Keun began her long-term activism against the systematic abuse of political prisoners. Together, they continued their fight for human rights through the inception of a democratic government in 1987.
Congratulations to Kim Keun Tae and In Jae Keun, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award recipients, who achieved their goals.
