Darci Frigo is an attorney and human rights advocate who has worked for nearly 20 years in the field of land reform. Mr. Frigo will discuss agro-fuels and their impact on agrarian reform, the environment and Quilombola communities (which represent rural black communities who remained on lands given to them by former slave owners) in Brazil.

A powerful advocate for the human rights of the Dalits, Martin Macwan works to end discrimination and violence against the “untouchable” caste of Indian society. Mr. Macwan will discuss the land rights movement in India.
